    This session is designed to introduce students to materials science and engineering and how it relates to other engineering and science disciplines, as well as meet some of UC Berkeley's faculty. You will learn about the areas of materials science, research and career/internship opportunities. You will also learn the different career paths materials science has and what those have meant to each faculty member. There will be a brief presentation, time for a question and answer session, and panels with faculty and current students.

    The Dreaming of a Higher Education Conference provides students with information about AB 540, CA DREAM Act, DACA, access to higher education, immigration reform, and more. This conference is usually held in November and is open to high school students, community college students, parents, and educators. Workshops are held in English and Spanish (for parents).
