    Transferring to Chapman University

    Chapman is a transfer-friendly institution, and welcomes those from two- or four-year colleges. For most of our majors transfers have the option to consider a fall or spring semester entry point.

    Fall 2023 Deadline

    Applications are due (postmarked) by February 15, 2023. Applications received after February 15 will be considered on a space-available basis.  The fall application will be available beginning November 15, 2022.

    Deadline to submit your application and all associated documents to USC, to be considered for a fall transfer, is Wed. Feb. 15

    You are considered a transfer applicant if you have enrolled in college since leaving high school.  

    Regular Decision
    Transfer candidates will receive either an admission decision or a request for spring grades by May 31.
    If you receive a request for spring grades, you will be notified of an admission decision by mid-July.

    For the following majors requiring a portfolio or audition - the Application Deadline was December 1, 2022:

    • Kaufman School of Dance
      School of Cinematic Arts – BFA programs only
      School of Dramatic Arts – BFA programs only
      Thornton School of Music

    For All Other Majors, the Application Deadline is Wednesday, February 15, 2023!


    Financial Aid: Priority Application Deadline: March 2, 2023
    Applicants who want to be considered for need-based financial aid must submit the FAFSA* and CSS Profile applications by this date.
    California residents should also apply for Cal Grants by this date.
    *Undocumented or DACA students should submit their 2020 tax return and third-party letter confirming undocumented status instead of the FAFSA.Visit our Financial Aid page for more information. To check on the status of your financial aid application, visit the FAST page in your applicant portal.Extensions of application deadlines are considered on a case-by-case basis.     California Baptist University, Online Admissions is accepting applications for Spring 2023, Summer 2023, and Fall 2023.

    On Wednesday, February 15th, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., CBU will conduct a “Virtual On-the-Spot Admissions Day” for upcoming semesters.

    The “Virtual On-the-Spot Admissions Day” is for admission into the undergraduate programs offered within CBU online. For a full list of CBU online degree programs, you can select the following: https://bit.ly/3Kk05tL

    Most students will have an admission decision on the day of the event and admissible students will walk away with financial advising and a general timeline for obtaining a bachelor’s degree at CBU. By participating in the “Virtual On-the-Spot Admissions Day”, application fees and recommendation letters will be waived.

    Students interested in participating in “Virtual On-the-Spot Admissions Day,” should provide prior to the event:

    • Application
    • College transcripts (official or unofficial) from ALL other colleges attended.
    • General admission requirements:
    • 24+ college-level semester units complete or in progress,
    • Minimum 2.0 GPA for students

    Students may be eligible for merit-based scholarships and need-based aid based on their 2022-2023 FAFSA.
