FAQs: After You Apply (The Next Steps)
Cal State Apply - Academic Updates
After applying to the CSU, all transfer students must update their application with:
- The grades you received for your previous terms (e.g., Fall classes for the Fall before you plan to start at CSU or Spring classes for the Spring before you plan to start at CSU).
- The courses you are enrolled in or plan to take (e.g., summer and fall classes).
You must provide this information before you expect to enroll. These updates ensure that CSU campuses have your most current academic information.
CSU Long Beach Supplemental Application
The Supplemental Application for Transfer is an online application that is specific to you, is specific to your intended major, and is specific to CSU Long Beach. You will be asked to review and confirm your academic record, including all colleges attended. You will also be asked to confirm your CSU eligibility and you will also be asked to report your progress towards completion of your Major Specific admission criteria.
UC Transfer Academic Update (TAU)
After applying to the UC, all transfer students are required to update their grades and course records in the month of January (for fall transfers).

FAQs: Admission Decisions
I was denied admissions; can I appeal?
Universities review each applicant’s record thoroughly, and admission decisions are rarely reversed. However, students who are not admitted may request a review of the decision if they believe there was an error in the evaluation or can provide new and compelling information not included in the initial application. If you intend to appeal your decision, please contact your university for appeals processing and deadlines! Then, schedule an appointment with a Fullerton College counselor immediately.
I was offered a spot on a waitlist; what does this mean?
Many impacted/selective universities may have a waitlist for students who are just below the university’s admissions criteria for a particular application cycle. If you have been offered a waitlist, please review the waitlist notice for waitlist processing and deadlines! Note: Since being placed on a waitlist is NOT a guarantee that you will be admitted, universities strongly recommend students to accept other offers.
