April 29If you are planning to apply to transfer to the UC for fall 2025 and also intend to apply for the UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG), then we strongly advise that you attend this workshop. Fall 2025 UC TAG applicants will need to meet university TAG criteria by the end of summer 2024.
This workshop will cover the basic requirements of TAG & TAG matrix, benefits & limitations, and the TAG application process.

May 1The Barber City Women’s Club of Westminster (BCWC) Scholarship Award was funded to assist deserving women residing in the
City of Westminster or Midway City who wish to continue their education in a vocational or college/university program and to foster
their commitment to contribute to their community. There will be three (3) Scholarship Awards available for this Application Year.Eligibility - The goal of the selection procedure is to identify women who meet and/or exceed the following requirements:
- Applicants must reside in the City of Westminster or Midway City
- Applicants may be high school senior, current college, university or vocational student
- Applicants must document that they have applied to and/or have enrolled as a full time student in any one of the following
institutions: Accredited Community College (12 semester units or more)Accredited 4 Year College/ University (12 semester units)
Vocational or Licensing program (full time track) - Applicants must be available for a personal interview by the Scholarship Committee.
Documentation Required.*
- Completed Application
- Photo Identification (copy of driver’s license or school ID)
- Copy of educational transcripts if applicable
- Personal statement stating why applicant is seeking scholarship. Statement should address your background and future
goals Maximum 400 words (include word count). - List of your extracurricular and volunteer activities, memberships in clubs or professional organizations, recognitions, and
community services.

May 2In consideration of the challenges students and families have experienced since the launch of the redesigned Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) the state filing deadline has been extended from April 2 to May 2, 2024. UC is encouraging students to complete the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) as soon as possible, but before the state deadline. Students can be reassured that any delays in processing will not negatively impact their financial support at UC.
