December 1The Transfer Center will be offering an informational webinar on the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship on Thursday, December 1 (12-1pm).
MEET FORMER COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENTS WHO RECEIVED THIS HIGHLY COVETED SCHOLARSHIP:
- Maple Duong (Transferred to UCLA)
- Isabella Solorio (Transferred to UC Irvine)
- Jessica Susanto (Transferred to Stanford University) - Fullerton College Alumni
The Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is a highly selective scholarship for the nation’s top community college students seeking to complete their bachelor’s degrees at four-year colleges or universities. Each Cooke Scholar has access to generous financial support for two to three years (up to $55,000 per year to attend a four-year accredited undergraduate school!), college planning support, ongoing advising, and the opportunity to connect with the thriving community of fellow scholars.
This workshop is open to students attending Cypress College and any other California Community College.

December 7The Transfer-to-Excellence Research Summer Research Program at UC Berkeley is now accepting applications for summer 2023. This is a great paid opportunity for California community college students in STEM.
There will be four online information sessions, starting Tuesday 11/8 at 7pm. These sessions are opportunities for students to learn more about undergraduate research, how to find positions as a CC student, tips for applying, and the specifics of the Transfer-to-Excellence program.

December 15After applying, transfer students are required to update their grades and course records.
You must provide your final grades from the previous term and list all courses in progress or planned for the term before you expect to enroll. Your updates will ensure UC campuses have the most current academic information available. Even if you do not have any in-progress or planned courses and your record of course grades was complete in your original application, you must log in to your application and complete the Transfer Academic Update.TAUs need to include grades through fall 2022 and planned coursework through summer 2023. The priority deadline is January 31, 2023.

December 31The 2023 HEEF Scholarship Application is currently open! Applications can be submitted at bit.ly/3Duikvg through December 31, 2022.
The HEEF Scholarship program is a collaborative of more than 30 funding partners passionate about helping first-generation college students. The scholarship program offers individual scholarship awards of $2,500 - $5,000 across multiple areas of interest for high school graduates and community college transfer students enrolling at a four-year college or university for Fall 2023. We often have a low number of transfer applicants so your help spreading the word is greatly appreciated!
Applicants to the program submit ONE application to be considered for all matched HEEF scholarship opportunities.

To apply, students must:
1) Complete a General Application at bit.ly/3Duikvg
2) Click "Apply To" HEEF in the Opportunities Tab to complete the sub-fund supplemental questions
