Advising & Counseling
The Cadena/Transfer Center provides advising and counseling on a walk-in basis for Fullerton College students. No appointment is necessary!
Counselors are available in the fall and spring only - we do not provide counseling in the summer.
Please note that our advisors are not counselors. The services they provide differ from our counselors in the following ways:

Counseling

Advising is usually conducted by our professional staff and entails assisting students with a variety of general questions about navigating college life and transfer. Advising is offered year round during normal working hours. Advisors can provide students with the following services:

    How to apply to Fullerton College and register for classes
    Locating campus services
    Understanding college-related terms
    University application assistance
    College & scholarship research

*Advisors do not provide help in planning your courses - a Student Education Program Plan (SEPP). You must meet with a counselor for course planning.

Counseling is offered on a first-come, first-served basis - we do not make appointments, during the fall and spring semesters only. Students with transcripts from other colleges & universities should have them ready for the walk in counselor. In addition to the services provided by our advisors, our counselors can provide more in depth services such as:

    Developing student education program plans (SEPP) - help
    planning your courses.
    Clearing students for courses
    Authorizing unit limitation changes
    Academic, Career and Personal support

WALK-IN COUNSELING Please note that if you wish to meet with our walk in counselor and you have completed coursework from another college or university, you will need to bring transcripts. Unofficial is okay provided you are not delivering them to be filed officially at Fullerton College. If so, you will need to provide official transcripts. This schedule is subject to change. THE LAST DAY FOR WALK IN COUNSELING IN THE TRANSFER CENTER FOR FALL 2009 IS NOVEMBER 25!
